FREE... RIESLING?

Who doesn’t love getting something for free? Especially, free wine? No, this is not like when your toddler offers you some dirty water out of a tea cup during “tea time” but actual real wine, probably in a real glass.

Can you handle it? I know I can.

The month of July is apparently dubbed 31 days of German Riesling across the United States, with various wine stores and restaurants joining together. The free portion is when you go to the selected dates and times in various places , to try some Riesling. Also participating restaurants will offer Riesling by the glass.

Riesling, which happens to be THE grape in Germany hasn’t earned the respect here in the United States with consumers.  Now is the time to show a little love to Riesling. They also comes in various degrees of dry to sweet. A typical Riesling will have high acid, and citrus and stone fruit flavor, you can also find various degrees of sweetness.
